This clinic will cover safety on the trail, saddlery and equipment, etiquette, looking ahead, reading horses' body language, how to respond to problems, care for the horses before, during and after the ride. In the first session we will work on techniques to improve your horse's confidence approaching objects and scenarios you might come across on a trail ride. We will also show you how to ride safely on roads where you may encounter vehicles. In our second session, we will go on an escorted ride around Zia Park and for the more adventurous combinations, to Blue Wren Reserve or Susannah Lakes.
